On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, our foundation held our first Wine for Warriors Gala to raise money in honor of the first responders, in NY and everywhere, who risked their lives to save others as well as our military which quickly sprung into action to prevent further attacks. To commemorate their actions and support their legacy, our foundation successfully raised over $50K to support veterans and first responders in need of physical and emotional support.
The Silk Road Wines Foundation is a proud veteran owned and operated non-profit based in Orlando, Florida. Our mission is to support veterans, allies, and first responders by providing them with the support and quality of life they deserve.
Silk Road Wines Foundation was born out of our love of philanthropy and wine. Our founder, Yanick Arakelov, served 4 years active duty and continues to serve as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. His partner, Barry Greer, served as a Firefighter-Paramedic for 15 years.
When they started the Silk Road brand, they pledged that 10% of our profits would go to charity. Then thought, why stop at 10%? Thus our foundation was brought to life. 100% of proceeds collected through Silk Road Wines Foundation goes to charity.
Assisting those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe, including allies.
We make sure that the proceeds raised at our events go towards helping local heroes in those markets.
We support first responders and veterans that need emotional or physical support to live a better quality life.
We believe in making a difference in all lives. We also donate wine to any charity events wanting to make a difference in our community.
We make sure that your donation is going towards a hero in need. We visit facilities and treatment centers to ensure that these heroes are receiving the best quality care. When possible, we make sure our proceeds are going towards local families in need.
