Annual Charity Event
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, our foundation held our first Wine for Warriors Gala to raise money in honor of the first responders, in NY and everywhere, who risked their lives to save others as well as our military which quickly sprung into action to prevent further attacks. To commemorate their actions and support their legacy, our foundation successfully raised over $50K to support veterans and first responders in need of physical and emotional support.

2022 Fundraiser Wine for Warriors Gala
Help raise $80,000 for veterans and first responders.
Join us on September 10, 2022 for our Wine for Warriors Gala & Live Auction.
Our event will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. This charity dinner will also be complimented by a live and silent auction offering some of Florida’s most sought after items.
All proceeds will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Wounded Warriors Support Foundation of the Republic of Georgia, two nonprofits working to improve the lives of first responders and their families.
The Story Behind Our Founders
The Silk Road Wines Foundation is a proud veteran owned and operated non-profit based in Orlando, Florida. Our founder, Yanick Arakelov, was born in the country of Georgia. He came to the United States when he was 13 years old and served 4 years active duty and continues to serve as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. His partner, Barry Greer, served as a Firefighter-Paramedic for 15 years.

Why We Also Support Georgian Veterans
As a U.S. ally in the war against terror, Georgia was the third largest troop contributor in the Iraq War and represented the largest per-capita contributor to the U.S. led mission in Afghanistan. Thousands of Georgian soldiers put their lives on the line to help support our country. Unfortunately, most of their wounded veterans are left helpless as they do not have access to the same treatment that our country can provide. We believe they deserve our support to honor their courage and sacrifice for our freedom.

Wounded Warriors Support Foundation – Republic of Georgia supports their veterans by providing them with financing of higher education, access to emotional and physical care, as well as assisting their underage children with medical support.
